Diego Wolf
Description: Diego’s life had never started out the way he had hoped it to be - a decent one worth living. He was snatched from his mother as a young pup and carted away to the station in the sky owned by the discoloured doctor Neo. It was there that he learnt his purpose in being there with the madman - to be created into a ruthless fighter to take down an Eastern Barred Bandicoot who went by the name of Crash, of course the name meant nothing to him at the time.
His creators, Nitrus Brio and the already mentioned Neo Cortex, however, didn’t evolve him properly. You see, his mixture was meant to be issued with the Evolvo-Ray at max power to ensure he got the full benefits of carefully balanced concoction. Just as the laser fired at his chest, the force of the shot caused the power dial, which was stuck between mid and full power, jolted back to medium - a truly careless mistake made by Brio.
One of the first things he noticed about being evolved as such a low power output was that he had one too many fingers - four fingers and an opposable thumb. The doctors’ took no notice of his two too many digits, thinking it was all part of his path to being a promising fighter.
They then named him - Diego.
His health then went downhill and, after learning about another fighter being created - a dragon, he was soon put up against the brute known as Tiny Tiger.
That marsupial was the first to permanently alter his appearance, shredding a chunk of his left ear off, ripping another piece out of the back of his right ear and giving him the six scars on his face. He guessed he was lucky he was already blind in his left eye or else the onslaught the thylacine gave to that side of his face most certainly would have rendered him blind.
Neo lost interest in him over time, ignoring the reports of him suffering and being under immense pain. He found his dragon creation far more interesting than him.
Diego did have friends, a badger called Rob and a fox called John. They hardly saw much of each other but they knew their friendship was strong, so much so that it couldn’t be broken.
Five years later, he had astounded every minion in the station by going against the minion working law and developed a supreme fascination for reading. N.Gin, out of curiosity, discovered it was like Crunch’s obsession with exercising only worse but with the need to read. As usual, Cortex paid no attention to the breakthrough his branded “failed” experiment was going through., N.Gin though allowed him to work beside him.
It was then that his little fingers started to rot and, much to his dismay, fell off. He had an operation to make his hands like that of a normal anthro as the bumps where his little fingers once were, were driving him round the bend. But what amazed everyone the most was that he was very nearly a fully grown adult wolf.
Cortex had to see it for his own eyes when he was told of the wolf’s age. However he mistook the battle scars as a sign the wolf was now the fighter he had hoped for… big mistake.
Diego soon found himself against the dragon, Darvarus. The battle didn’t last long. The wolf was then given the second and the last of his scars, but with that, the worst of them all - his right middle finger was bitten clean off and strips of flesh was torn from his left upper arm and his stomach to his knee, exposing the muscle beneath them.
Thinking he was dead, he was dumped on a mountain on X.Treme island to be left to the vultures, it was there he obtained the scars on his right cheek from a rock.
He was rescued by a tiger anthro, who nursed him back to health but nothing could be done about the exposed muscle and scars he had, which still looked fresh on him, despite they were given to him years ago.
Hauk was the tiger’s name, and he had the weirdest of all eye colours imaginable - pink.
The wolf soon took up refuge with the tiger as he had nowhere else to go and they eventually became best friends.
It wasn’t long before he met the bandicoot he was meant to be based on and the comfort creation Brio had made because of his alleged death. Crunch and Hbutan they were called. Hbutan was a werecat with quadrupedal legs, a design the wolf had never seen before.
Before they had come into his life, Diego and Hauk had the privilege of meeting Crash, Coco and Aku Aku. They didn’t stop long but it was long enough to learn about what they were doing in the mountains - a holiday trip suggested by the “lemon” of a bandicoot, AKA Crash.
If it wasn’t for that visit, the two anthros wouldn’t have set off to help recruit Crash and put an end to the threat of the dragon.
After a battle with the Tikimon they ventured down the mountainside but were ambushed and found themselves regaining consciousness in the arena room. Of course only the males were in the room, the females and the mask were in the neighbouring cell where the spectating happened.
Then the dragon and cyborg polar bear came into the room.
The dragon went after Crunch and Crash and the Bearminator went after him and Hauk.
After a few minutes Crash was knocked out cold and Hauk was rendered severely injured. Then the most simple of commands was issued… “Kill the weak one” …kill him basically.
Taunts and threats were fired at him and when the ursidae raised his arms to deliver a killer blow it happened. He lost it.
In a flash he had decapitated the bear and came back to devour the rest of him. Then he turned on Crunch and Darvarus who struggled keeping him off their tails.
He was turned back to normal though, after two vials of potions Hauk made specially for the containment of his feral side. It was then that Hauk spilled the beans about him to the rest of the anthros - he was a mutant.
His DNA never evolved properly because of the lack of energy his concoction was administered to him with. Because of the lack of energy his DNA was boosted with, it became whatever it wanted to be, which in this case it became demonic or, if you like, mutant DNA. He was extremely unstable.
He soon woke up next to the tiger and discovered the station had been blown up thanks to the werecat and her pinching a bomb off Dingodile. He then learnt that Darvarus was only how he was because the doctor had put a microchip on him, and it was his beast form that blew it out by making him experience fear.

More about him will be revealed when future stories have been posted…
More Information.... WARNING SPOILERS!!!
Reason behind my making him:
Well~ I had an urge to make an anthro character and after making Hauk into one I wanted Diego to be one. He already had his demon half with him from his previous “life” as a half anthro with wings [my impression of a demon wolf for you back then]. He had no purpose in that form so I made him into this little unhappy chappy. I also thank Tara for giving me the inspiration to make him.
