| Steve Bandicoot
Character Description: Everything started just a few days after Crunch was sent over to X.treme island. Cortex wanted to create a new minion like Crunch, but much more loyal to him. And as he found out that he had an other male burgundy bandicoot, even related to Crunch, his hopes were up again as well as his plans for world domination. But soon after Steve was evolved, Cortex was sure that everything failed again. He isolated Steve from any other person. Just him and Brio were allowed to see him. He also hide that Steve has any relatives and told him always that he’s alone. Cortex also punished him hard, every time Steve did anything wrong. What was pretty much everything what he did. But he wasn’t even responsible for the most things. Crunch and Tani destroyed always Neo’s labs and experiments, but the madman never saw them in his castle and so he thought it was Steve. After a while, Cortex went angry about all his destroyed labs, equipment and experiments and so he wanted to get rid of the poor bandicoot, who was still pretty young. He took Steve in his airship to Australia and dropped him somewhere over the forest. Cortex thought that Steve won’t be alive for long, with all those wild and dangerous animals there. But he wasn’t right. Steve grew up in the deep forest of Australia and spend 4 years of his life there, until he was a teen. In this time he became much stronger and learned to survive in the wildness. He had the hope that Cortex forgot about him, cos he liked his new life. And Neo really forgot him. But how things are, not everyone forgot him. Brio took him back to the castle while Neo was busy in space so he wouldn’t even notice. But one day Neo returned from space and remind pretty quick to Steve by being attacked from him. Cortex just could survive by shooting the bandicoot with his ray-gun. He didn’t killed him, cos he had other plans. He took Steve to the Cortex Vortex, but for some reason the device didn’t work on him. Neo was frustrated and wanted to kill Steve. He wanted to see him suffer and so he set the Termination-ray to the slowest and most painful death possible. But the termination-ray failed and didn’t killed him. It ‘just’ shot its deadly energy into Steve causing him pain. Probably til the end of his life. But Cortex believed he killed the bandicoot. Brio knew he was alive and so he took him to Neo’s secret base on Tasmania. 8 years had passed since his evolution and Steve was almost grown up. He looked now a lot like Crunch and even his skills could be compared to those of his big brother. Steve also became pretty interested in weapons and learned how to use the most of them. He decided that it was time to take revenge on Cortex, and so he blew his cover and showed himself to the mad scientist, who was pretty impressed by him. Cortex came down and while Steve was fighting against his robotic assistants, he took him down with two darts, from which the bandicoot fell asleep. As Steve woke up again, he found himself being controlled by Cortex with his mind control technology. The time went by and it seemed like Steve would never be free again. But only til the day, the space station burned up. Steve was free from Cortex and soon after that he met his brother the fist time in his life, and his first adventure started. How he was created- Well after I started to translate the OB stories, I had the idea to write my own story which plays between the OB stories to connect them. I want to put my own character into the story and so I created Steve. He’s Crunch’s little brother and was evolved by Cortex and Brio, after Cortex banned Crunch on X. Treme island. And I have to thank Tara too. Cos her work inspired me to do this. Steve Bandicoot and Description is (c) to Steve Modder. |
