It was a pitch dark night on X.Treme island. Steve just arrived at the seashore after his little trip in his own past to find out a few things. He walked trough the jungle to Tani’s and Crunch’s house. As he entered the house he saw Crunch and Tani nuzzle each other. “Hey! I don’t want to disturb you two…” Steve said. Crunch and Tani looked both up in shock. “Hey Steve… nice to see ya back here.” Tani said and hugged him “Nice that you’re back brother.” Crunch said and hugged him too. Steve was confused “I was only one week away. And you two behave like I was away for years!” “Well for us it was a long time.” Crunch said “And what you’ve seen here…” he whispered to Steve “Ahh, Ok I haven’t seen anything.” Steve said “Well, why don’t you tell us what you’ve found out on your trip?” Tani asked “Uhh, yeah. Well, there are still left some mysteries but I’ve found out a lot…” Steve then told them everything.

“…and last night I had this strange dream in which all humans are turned into anthros everywhere I go. And so I was in a big city called “Sydney” or so…” “Wait a moment… did you said, you dreamed that all humans are turned into anthros?” Crunch asked “Yeah that’s what I said.” Steve replied. Crunch looked at Tani and then back to Steve “Well… I think we have to tell you what happened in the last week. Your dream wasn’t a dream. It all started with a new machine that Brio created to turn himself into an anthro. But something went wrong and so…” Crunch and Tani then told Steve what happened the last days. “Wow! So my big brother saved the world once again. But why you two always have the whole fun?” Steve said “FUN!? I don’t think it was “FUN”. Just think about Derick…” Tani shouted at Steve. “Hey I don’t meant it in this way… but never mind it seems that you two even got closer to each other. I mean you two are even more than friends…” “What do you want to say with that?” Crunch got a bit angry “It’s so obvious that you two in love. I could see it on your reaction as I came in.” “Hey listen, we’re just friends ok?” Crunch said “I wouldn’t believe that…” Steve said with glee. Crunch then started to growl “Ok, Ok I won’t say anything about you two. I swear it!” “That’s better for you!” Crunch shouted. “Hey Crunch slow down! He said already that he wouldn’t tell anyone about us! Or do you think we can’t trust him, Crunch?” Tani said with a light devilish grin. “I hope we can! Or else I have to squash you forever Steve!” “Heh, my brother is still the old heat head…” Steve thought.

One month passed and there were no new enemies nor the old enemies. And in Brio’s castle nothing happened too. On X.Treme island they all thought that they now can live in peace. All expect one: Steve. “One month and nothing happened. No fights, no enemies and no crazy experiments by Brio. I don’t know but things are too quiet to be true…” he said while he, Crunch and Tani were having a barbecue at the beach. “Why you say that?” Tani then asked him “I think the peaceful life is nothing for me. I prefer the action!” Steve replied “I know what you mean. The lazy life is nothing for me in perpetuity.” Crunch said. “May I should go over to Brio later to see what he’s up to…” Steve said. “Yeah I may come with you then. I haven’t seen him for a long time.” Crunch told him.

After the barbecue they went over to the castle.

As the two brothers arrived at Brio’s castle they get in and searched Brio. “Did ya really know the way?” Crunch asked Steve as they walked trough the hallways “Yeah sure! Just follow me…” “Ok… Hey! Stop! Over there! A few of Neo’s lab assistants!” and Crunch ran to the assistant “Wait Crunch! Stop!” Steve yelled but it was too late. Crunch destroyed the assistants one after another. “Man Crunch! They’re no longer on Cortex’s side! Brio use them now…” Steve said while he was looking on the few parts which were left “Whoops… I should better listen to you next time.” Crunch said with a smile. After a few more hallways they reached Brio’s lab. As Steve knocked on the door, it felt into the room “Just another thing we have both. You don‘t like closed door‘s as well…” Crunch said and he started to smirk. “W-w-who is there?” a voice asked from somewhere. “Hey Brio, it’s just me and Crunch.” Steve replied “Ahh, welcome back you two.” the voice said and then Brio came out of one of his machines. “W-w-well I was just working on one of my newest machines. A teleporter like the one Coco has. I only have to t-t-test it. Maybe you two want to test it?” “No…” started Crunch but then Steve looked over to him “…Ok we test that thing.” he said. “But when anything goes wrong I’ll get you for it Steve!” whispered Crunch. They both went into the teleporter “W-w-where should I take you?” Brio asked “Just in front of the castle.” Steve replied “Ok. The t-t-transfer will start in a few seconds.” “Did you know this feeling when you know that something happens?” Crunch asked Steve. Just in this moment the teleporter powered up and transported them out of the room.

Somewhere in Australia: Two bright blue lights were seen and as they disappeared, Crunch and Steve were standing somewhere on the beach. “I know this feeling. But I think Brio’s machine will work…” “Didn’t I say that something like this would happen?” Crunch said “Ok you were right. But where we are? And how we should came back to X.Treme island?” “Don’t ask me. I thought you’re the expert for this kind of situations!” “Well, ok first we should find out where we are and then we’ll try to come back…” “Hey Steve look over there, a sign: Sydney 20 miles. We may should go in the city.” “Ok now we know that we’re in Australia somewhere around Sydney. May we should try to get a boat or a plane… Hey Crunch where are you going?” “I’m going to Sydney cos I know the city. Just Remember that I was there a few weeks ago.” “Yeah that might be, but you can’t go simply into the city cos the last time when you were here all humans were anthros. Just think how they’ll react when they see us. We had to wait for the night.” “Ohh… I forgot about that. Well you’re right. I got already a few problems with the police here. Let’s see where we can hide until it’s dark.”

The sun was going down over Australia and Crunch and Steve made their way to Sydney on a truck. “Have you any ideas how we should come back?” Crunch asked Steve “Well I’ve seen some aircrafts around this place what means that an airport is somewhere around here. We should try to get a plane so that we could fly back to X. Treme island.” “The idea sounds good… but first we have to go to the airport.” Then the truck stopped. Crunch and Steve waited a few minutes and then jumped off the truck. “So, where we are?” Crunch asked “I don’t know. Maybe we should go on the top of that building to have a better sight…” Steve replied and pointed on a large building on the other site of the street. “And how should we cross the street without being seen?” “Good question…There is no other way around it. We have to go over the street… Just follow me! But be fast!” Steve told Crunch and started to run across the street. Crunch followed him. Brakes were heard and the people around were frightened and screamed. Steve quickly climbed up a ladder to the rooftop and Crunch followed him. “Do you mean that with ‘No one should see us’?” “There was no way around that! I hope we won’t get in trouble now!” “I don’t think so… we could even been two dog’s for them.” Oh yeah. Two ,nearly 1.90 meters tall dog’s…” Steve said sarcastic. “Ok now we’re on the roof. And where is the airport?” Crunch asked “It’s just over there” Steve replied and pointed on the lights of the airports runway “I guess 3 or 4 miles away. We should try to jump from roof to roof.” “Good idea. Or we take the bus to the airport…” “…or we could take the bus. What?!” and then Crunch jumped off the roof. “I hate it when he does this…” Steve thought and jumped down to the bus too. They landed on the top of the bus. “Great idea, huh?” “I don’t think that this idea is ‘great’ but it’s better than jumping from roof to roof and we don’t risk to be seen when we’re laying on the top of this bus.” Steve said.

After a few minutes the could hear aircrafts and some police cars as well. The police cars stopped the bus and pointed with their guns on it. “Come down from that Bus guys!” One of the police officers shouted. Crunch and Steve jumped off “What do you want from us, huh?” Steve asked him “Shut up and go down to your knees and hands behind your head!” the officer shouted “We just want to go back to our island.” Steve told him and walked closer to the officer. “STOP or I’ll shoot!” but Steve walked closer to him and looked deep in his eyes. The officer got a bit scared “Let us go…” he said. Then suddenly another cop fired a shot and hit Steve in his right arm. Steve growled loudly in pain. He took the officer in front of him and threw him to the cop who had fired the shot. Then the other cops get their guns and fired at Steve. Steve took the door of a police car and used it as a shield. As the cops reloaded their guns Steve lifted up a police car and smashed a few cops with it. One was pointing with a shotgun on him. He got the gun and break it. Then he got the officer and threw him into two others. After that, all who where alive run for their life’s but Steve now lost control over himself and so he was in rage. He dashed to the running cop’s and killed them all. He stood there in the middle of the highway. His fur was a bit toned red by the blood.

It was silent. Steve then got slowly back to normal. ”What the…!? It seems that you killed them all Steve. I really wouldn’t be one of your enemies.” Crunch said “Which enemies? I had no enemy longer than an hour.” “That explains a lot. You can really freak out when you’re angry, right?” “That was nothing. You wouldn’t see what happens when I’m really angry. Even Cortex was scared as he saw me really angry. Now lets go to the airport and back to X.Treme island. I don‘t want to stay here for too long.” Steve told him “Can you walk? I mean you’ve got a few shot’s …” “Oh… I’ve only noticed the one in my arm. Of course I can!” Steve said and walked down the highway to the airport. “Crunch, do you want to stay here?” “I‘m coming…” Crunch said a bit confused.

After a few minutes they reached Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International airport on the south side. Crunch broke the airport fence and they walked to the general aviation parking. “Ok Steve. You’re the expert for this! Which plane should we use?” “Lets take the one over there! It has the range we need and there is someone inside so we don’t have to damage it to get in or start it.” They walked over to the aircraft. Just in this moment someone was coming out. It was Derick. Yep. You guessed it. The Derick from OB 2.

“Hey! Who’s out there?” he shouted and took out his gun. From out the dark of the night were coming Crunch and Steve. “Oh no not you again! And who’s that?” Derick yelled “Hey you can remember too? But never mind. Just put away this little toy gun and handle over the keys for the plane.” Crunch told Derick “NO! Never!” Derick shouted and want to ran away but Crunch has lifted him up with his normal arm “Just put away the gun,” Crunch grabbed Dericks arm and put it on his back. The sound of breaking bones were heard “,and handle over the keys!” “Ahh! Ok, ok. The keys are inside! Please let me go!” Crunch then gave him a punch and threw him on the ground. “Ok Steve we can go!” Steve and Crunch went in the plane. “Can you fly this thing?” Crunch asked “I can fly everything if it has wings.” Steve replied and started the engines. He drove the aircraft to the runway and took off.

After a few hours they were in the near of X.Treme island. “Hey Crunch! Wake up! We’re at home!” “What? But we’re still flying!” “I know. We have to jump out over the island cos I can’t land anywhere.” “What?! Can’t you try to land in the water?” “Nope. We have to jump. I’m sure you’ll love it. Take your parachute and wait until I give you a sign. Then jump.” Crunch took one of the para’s and went to the door. Steve was behind him. He opened the door “Ok Crunch. Now jump!” And Crunch jumped out the plane a few seconds later Steve too. “JUST PULL THE LINE WHEN WE’RE TROUGH THE CLOUDS!” he yelled over to Crunch “OK!” As they passed the clouds both opened their parachutes and landed safely on the beach of X.Treme island.

“Whoa! That was a flight!” “Didn’t I say that you’ll love it?” Steve asked Crunch. “Yeah! And you were right! Ohh… we should better go to Tani. I hope she isn’t too angry…” “Nah, she won’t. Let’s go!” Then they headed in the jungle. A few minutes later they arrived at the tree house and went in. “Hey Tani we’re back!” Crunch yelled. Then Tani ran out of her room and wrapped her arms around Crunch “Ohh Crunch! Where have you been? I was worried sick you know!” “I’m glad to be home now…” Crunch told her “We were in Sydney.” Steve said “Sydney?! I thought you were at Brio’s castle.” Tani asked him “Well, actually we were. But when we tested Brio’s new teleporter it transported us to Sydney by mistake. There we had to wait for the night that the humans can’t see us. Then we made our way to the airport, blocked by a little police brigade and at the airport we got a plane and flew back to X.Treme island.” “Now I understand. Then it all was Brio’s fault again.” Tani looked over to Steve “Oh Steve, you‘re hurt!” she said “Hmm… Oh that. Actually it’s nothing. Well I’m a bit tired now. I’m going to rest. Crunch can tell you the whole story. I‘ll see ya both tomorrow” Steve said and went outside.

Steve walked along the path up to the waterfalls lake where he lives. He looked over to Brio’s castle as he was up there and then he saw a bright light coming out of the labs window “I’ll better look after him or else he’ll do something bad again.” Steve thought and went over to the castle.

As he arrived at Brio’s he heard two voices. The one was Brio and the other was someone he doesn’t know. He entered the castle and ran in Brio’s lab. He saw Brio and a strange yellow bilby anthro. “Oh Steve n-n-nice that you come to me. Ohh you’re hurt! I’m so s-s-sorry for all what’s happened yesterday.” “Don’t talk about that. Just tell me what you’ve done now!” “Well this is Jaseo and he has electric powers. I need his help for an experiment.” “Why you always took the wrong guys like little sparky…” “Hey! I’m Jaseo the master of electricity! I could zap you with…” “Hey listen, I’m in a really bad mood now so don’t mess up with me or I’ll kill you!” “Steve s-s-stop! I need his help!” Brio said “Ok! Then I’ll go! But don’t come to me when everything gets outta control!” Then Steve went out of Brio’s Lab and back to X.Treme island.

The next morning. As Steve was awake he noticed that there was a huge storm outside. He left his house and looked over to Brio’s castle. “It seems that the storm is coming from the castle. What ever Brio has done now, I won’t make anything against it!” he thought. Steve watched the storm for a while and it was getting bigger and bigger. Then lightning’s shoot out of the clouds. One hit the castle and then bright lights came out of Brio’s lab. In the same moment Steve received a signal that comes from Brio. “No Brio. This time it’s your problem. Not my…” he thought and blocked Brio’s call.

Meanwhile at the castle. “Jaseo p-p-please stop that!” “No Brio! You trust me and that was a fault! I want my revenge on Crunch and no one can stop me!” Jaseo yelled and went outside the castle to the beach. He took Brio’s boat and drove over to X.Treme island.

Steve wanted to go to the tree house as he heard a boat. He turned to the sea and saw Jaseo in the boat. “Look who’s there! The yellow sparkler!” “I’M NOT A…well I’m just here to take my revenge on Crunch! Go outta my way or I’ll zap you!” “When you want to fight against Crunch you first have to fight against me!” “Ok! Then let’s start!”

Jaseo lost no time and started to attack Steve with sparks. But Steve was too fast and moved outta the way of every attack. “Hey come on sparky! Is that everything you can?” then Jaseo got angry and attacked much faster than before. He had a few hits on Steve but Steve doesn’t care about it “Even a battery has more power than you! Now it’s my turn! I’ll show what a real fight is!” he yelled. Then Steve started to attack Jaseo. He punched him a few times followed by a few kicks. But Jaseo didn’t gave up. He always stand up after every hit. “Well you’re a tough little bilby. But now it’s time to finish this…” Steve growled “I think the same!” Jaseo yelled and then a lightning shoot out of the clouds directly into Steve. He disappeared in the bright light and Jaseo thought that he killed Steve.

“One away, one left. Now I’ll take care of Crunch!” Jaseo said “Hey sparky! Didn’t you forget someone?” Steve was standing behind Jaseo. The sand around him was melted to glass by the lightning and even Steve was exhausted now and sparks were coming out of him. “That’s… That’s impossible! How you could alive after that!” Jaseo yelled and his eyes winded. “You didn’t know that I’m electricity proof, right… ? Well that’s you’re end now!” Steve grabbed Jaseo and threw in the air. He jumped up to Jaseo and smashed him as hard as he could back to the ground. Jaseo crashed into the sand and couldn’t move then Steve came falling out of the sky and hit Jaseo with his knee in the chest. Steve grabbed him again and threw him in the sea. Sparks came out of Jaseo’s body cos the water made a short circuit to his electrical powers. Then he was knocked out and started to drown in the sea. But suddenly Jaseo disappeared into nowhere. Steve felt sightly exhausted on the sand. He heard something out of the jungle but he felt too tired to move.

Crunch came out of the jungle to get Steve for breakfast. “Hey Steve. I just want to take you for… Whoa It seems you had a little party here.” “Oh hey Crunch. I wouldn’t call it a party!” “Why are you laying on the sand?” “Well I’m just a bit tired from this fight against this little yellow rat. Jaseo I think…” “Jaseo? What does he want? And where is he?” “Well he said something about taking revenge on you then I fought him and after the fight I threw him into the sea and then he suddenly disappeared.” “Well that’s strange. But it’s good that you defeated him. I hope this time it’s forever. Wanna have some breakfast?” “You know the answer.” Crunch helped Steve up and they both went back to the tree house.

As Crunch and Steve walked back to the house Tiny suddenly was on the path in front of them and blocked the two. “Tiny wouldn’t let you pass this place!” “Go out of our way or I have to beat you up!” Crunch yelled. Tiny and Crunch stand in front of each other growling. Then Steve walked over to Tiny “Hey Tiny!” he said to him and looked deep in Tiny’s eyes. Then he growled loudly and Tiny ran away in fear. “What was that?” Crunch asked “It was just a little trick to fear animals. Well normally I like it to watch the little arguments between you and Tiny but today I’m not in the mood for it.” Steve replied and then they went to the house again.

It had only been one week... After Crunch and Steve were back from their little trip to Sydney and after Steve’s fight against Jaseo. And only three month before the world was set back to the way it was, thanks to the efforts of Crunch, Crash, Tani and Coco. Things pretty much went great after those efforts in saving the world from itself; especially for Crunch and Tani... their lives had changed significantly.

They were obviously in love, Tani was much happier than usual, and not to mention Crunch... They spent more time together, and doing stupid things like annoying the tribe’s folk and wildlife inhabiting the islands and other things which shouldn’t be mentioned. They also kept their relationship secret, since both were unsure of how everyone else would react to it.

And Steve… he was travelling around the world to search for all of Cortex’s minions and even to take some holidays.

But recently, things have been going a bit out of hand... Crunch has become worried about certain things, such as Tani. Tani has been meaner than usual, she wasn’t too nice to Crash and Coco ether, and she just wasn’t herself lately, not even exercising. Not only that, Tawna had recently broke up with Crash and Tawna’s now working at the Moulin Cortex, a bad guy dancing club which both Crunch and Tani despise of... and also, Koala Kong was discovered that he's been taking drugs, which explains why he's the way he is... so many things to worry about…
