Places
X.Treme Island:
X.Treme Island, really is extreme. It has extreme weather, extreme animals (hey, no normal islands have giant polar bears running around do they?) extreme plantation (man eating plants and huge as tree anyone?) and of course, the island is extremely dangerous. If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time anyway. However, the island is a beautiful place to see, it's three times the size of N.Sanity island and also has a giant tree growing out from the centre (which is believed to be thousands of years old). It holds the island in one piece.
The island also has no Native Tribes folk living around too, possibly due to it's extreme activity. But they occasionally visit on their canoes... There is plenty of wild animals living on the island, especially wild boars, monkeys, bears, giant rats and more. The island was also Crunch, Tani and Kong's home after they got kicked out of Cortex Castle. They loved the island, it was large and full of nature, with rivers, hot springs, lava caves, pine forests, ancient temples and more.
When Crunch was an adult, and back living with Tani (and Crystal at this time). He wanted to own the 'territory' and kick Kong out to the other side of the Island. Since he didn't like it how Kong and his friends trashed around the place they were living in. He managed to get rid of him and move him to the other side of the island and burn down his house (and the crack/drugs too, lol) and yeah.
On Crunch's side of the island, it was very peaceful. But a crazy neighbor lived nearby.... Ripper roo of course! He lived up the river in a dog-faced temple. He was usually quiet and minded his own business, reading books all day... but he sometimes went down to 'visit' Tani's house, and cause chaos! Besides that, there were plenty of old temples.... which made great training places for Crunch and his friends. There also is a small volcano on the northern side of the Island, which was slightly active and had a cave going into it (this was where Kong got beaten by Crash) and there was plenty of precious gems and crystals in there too, but they were unimportant to Crunch and everyone else living there. And since there was a volcano, there was bound to be hot springs and geysers nearby. And yes, there was. But only Crunch and Tani knew about them.... I think Ripper roo does as well though...!
On the other side of the island, Tiny, Kong, Dingodile and the Komodo brothers lived there. The Komodo brothers and Dingodile had settled there after Cortex sent them back to Earth, and they also made a few racing tracks around the side of the island. Crunch, Crash and others often visited to have races and it was good fun for them. The anthros living their also got along well, possibly since they were all baddies.
As for the 'extremely dangerous' parts of the Island, they were mainly found in the higher areas. It's always cold up there, and usually covered in snow. The Giant Polar bears and 'monster sized' hogs live up there. Not many have made it back alive from up there, besides Crash and a few other anthros (including Crunch and Tani of course).
N.Sanity Island:
The name N.Sanity speaks for itself. This was the place Crash was washed up on shore, after escaping from Cortex castle. Not long after beating Dr Cortex, Coco had found an old house and quickly did it up for her, Crash and Tawna.... but shortly after Crash rescued Tawna, Tawna had dumped him for Pinstripe and left a note.... and after Coco read it, it left Crash broken hearted. But he quickly got over the loss and moved on with his life of N.Sanity island.
The Island has a lot of inhabitants. Plenty of nature and a big group of tribes folk living on the other side of the Island. And Wumpa trees were also very common, Crash's favorite food of all time! And there was rivers and a big geyser, which blasted out migrating fish... like a fountain of fish (lol). The island waterfall also had a huge skull shaped cave opening too.
The Tribes folk on the island were sometimes a problem, because they thought Crash was an 'omen' and often tried to kill him on sight, but Crash usually gets away without harm. The villagers Village also has a huge gate and fences surrounding the Village, so it was difficult for anyone or anything to even get it anyway.
Cortex Castle Island:
Cortex Castle:
Tani's Tree house:
Bandicoot Hut:
Koala Kong's Shack:
This was the house that was built for Kong, Tani and Crunch when they were dumped on X.Treme island after being kicked out of Cortex Castle. It was quite a nice simple house but after a few years it started to get trashed very quickly!
Moulin Cortex:
Pinstripe's Mansion:
Machinery
Evolvo-ray:
This is the one and only, the Evolvo-ray. This was actually made by Dr N.Brio (but Neo made the original... which was a failure) but due to Brio's low self esteem, Neo Cortex easily took the credit.
The Evolvo-ray is capable of evolving an animal into a highly evolved form, which would really take thousands or even, millions of years to happen to the creature. But the Evolvo-ray makes it happen pretty much, instantly. It fires neon green electricity to the creature, which does hurt them quite a lot but after the evolution happens, they usually loose their memory from being a 'normal animal' anyway (not always though, some DO remember their past...)
The power source of the Evolvo-ray is bright, neon colored gems. Very powerful gems, and really quite common around the three islands. But they're found only deep within the earth around the area.
The Evolvo-ray also gives the animals (or Anthros) extra intelligence too. Some are able to speak without learning, read or write.... etc. And other traits, which Brio or Cortex have merged into the animal victim. BUT however, sometimes it fails and some traits get totally destroyed or altered.... or overdone. Like Koala Kong's overdone strength and low intelligence.
There's also a reason why Cortex never made very many minions... it's because they're 'expensive' to evolve. If he could just grab any animal and evolve it, then he would have done it, no problem. But it actually takes a lot of power generation to make a single anthro. That's why he goes mad whenever he looses one or one escapes or fails.
Cortex Vortex:
The Cortex Vortex is solely Neo Cortex's creation (at last). It was made to force the Evolved animals (or Anthros) to obey Dr Cortex's commands. And it also gave the anthros 'advanced' traits but sometimes, it backfires and does the opposite (like how it almost totally ruined Ripper roo)
The Cortex Vortex is powered by Gems and electricity. However, the 'Obeying commands' feature slowly faded off Anthros which where zapped with the Vortex. It's basically a machine that alters their thinking to make the anthros think Cortex is doing the right thing... The device that controlled Crunch was much more powerful and is something totally different (since the Vortex wouldn't be powerful enough to change Crunchs thoughts of Cortex)
Combination-ray
Now this is a machine that wasn't used very much at all. It seemed to only be used once on Dingo and Croco... whom were turned into Dingodile.
Termination-ray
This was properly the most terrible of the machines ever made. It was basically made to destroy anyone that Cortex hated, the energy is based on energy from the negative dimensions, and didn't require gems but it did require a few power crystals (not much though)
It was capable of completely destroying anyone. It basically vaporized it's victims quite quickly, if they were shot in the right area. But Crunch's incident however.... he didn't get shot in the chest but his arm instead. So he didn't die straight away like Kris roo. Cortex actually didn't mean to kill Kris, because the Termination-ray looks a lot like the Evolvo-ray, he got mistaken... but he did intend to destroy Crunch, but Crunch broke one of the straps off, kicked Cortex, Cortexes head knocked the ray and it went out of focus.
Super-Secret-Weapon
This was Cortexes ultimate machinery ever. He slaved over it for years after being beaten by Crash for the 3rd time... It was going to be used to make the ultimate animal ever, but it required a huge amount of energy so it wasn't that simple to use.
